I had a lovely time at Hau Holbox, though there were a few downsides. The hotel is beautifully situated right on the beach, which made for stunning sunsets each night. The rooms were clean and well-decorated, but I found the breakfast options a bit lacking in variety. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its charm and great location.

Rooms
10.0
My room was a King Suite with Ocean View that was beautifully appointed and kept very clean. I truly enjoyed the comfort.
Service
9.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more pleasant, although there were a few instances where my drink orders were forgotten.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is perfect, being directly on the beach and just a 15-minute walk into Holbox town, which was very convenient for exploring.
Dining
8.0
The food at the restaurant was of high quality, but I found the breakfast a bit dull, with limited choices. Thankfully, I could upgrade for a more substantial meal.
Facilities
9.0
The hotel offers great facilities, including a beach club for watching sunsets and a clean pool area, which I appreciated during my stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Hau Holbox overall, as the hotel was modern and featured a stunning ocean view from my room. However, the location wasn't ideal due to the lack of a nice beach immediately in front and some noise from construction work. That said, the calm atmosphere and friendly staff sure made up for it! 🌊✨

Rooms

The Deluxe Suite with Sea View was fantastic; it had a super large and comfortable bed, and the overall design was very nice.
Service
10.0
I found the hotel staff to be incredibly friendly and always willing to help, especially the cheerful young lady and young man in the restaurant.
Location
7.0
While the hotel is in a calm area, the closest nice beach is about a 1.5 km walk along the beach, which might be an inconvenience for some.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was tasty with both sweet and salty options. The dinner menu was also good, and the prices were reasonable, making dining a pleasure.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel features two pools, usually empty, which was quite relaxing. However, some construction work and noise during my stay detracted from the experience.

I spent three nights at Hau Holbox and had mixed feelings about my stay. The location is decent, right by the beach, but the service left a lot to be desired. I faced some issues with overcharging and a lack of attentiveness from the staff, which really put a damper on my experience.

Rooms
5.0
My King Suite with Ocean View was clean and spacious, which was definitely a plus during my stay.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the staff struggled with basic requests. For example, they didn’t provide coffee refills in my room, and when I asked for breakfast on the beach, they moved me to a quiet terrace instead.
Location
5.0
The location was good, right in front of the beach, but it felt like every hotel had taken prime spots along the shoreline, so it wasn't particularly special.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast included was pretty basic, just some dry bread and a few pieces of fruit, which I didn’t find satisfying. Plus, dining at the hotel was pricey and I would recommend exploring food options in town instead.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel did feature room service and housekeeping, but the dining options and bar service could have been more attentive.

I had a mixed experience at Hau Holbox. The hotel's beachfront location was stunning and perfect for relaxation, but I encountered several issues during my stay. The noise from the beach bar was bothersome, and the breakfast options were quite limited and often not very satisfying.

Rooms
5.0
I stayed in a King Suite with Ocean View, which was spacious but unfortunately very noisy due to its proximity to the beach bar. The air conditioning worked well, but I found the lack of privacy and disturbances quite challenging.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and did their best, especially during breakfast service, but some areas showed a lack of training and organization. There were times when I felt overlooked, particularly regarding issues with room amenities.
Location
7.0
The hotel is right on the beach, which is fantastic, but getting to the town was more difficult than expected, with some rough roads to navigate. I appreciated the walk along the beach, though it could be a hassle at night due to poor lighting.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was included, but it was rather basic and consistently limited. The presence of wasps at breakfast detracted from the experience, requiring me to constantly cover my food. While the restaurant staff was polite, the food options need improvement.
Facilities
6.0
The pools were clean and inviting, but the ongoing construction made it difficult to fully enjoy the outdoor areas. There were great facilities, but again, the noise and disruptions hindered the overall experience.

My stay at Hau Holbox was a mixed experience. The hotel is located about a 20-30 minute walk from the main center of Holbox, which I didn't mind, but the beach front was average and the food was just okay. The private beach area was nice, and I enjoyed the rooftop pool, which was perfect for sunset views. However, I encountered some issues with cleanliness and disappointed with the breakfast offerings.

Rooms
5.0
My Standard Suite was spacious and offered a great sea view, but I faced noise issues from the nearby bar and some problems with the safe not working. There were also cockroaches in the room, which was quite unpleasant.
Service
7.0
The staff were mostly friendly and accommodated my requests, though they didn’t show me around the hotel. I appreciate their polite attitude, especially from the restaurant team who were very nice without being pushy.
Location
5.0
The hotel’s location was a bit secluded, requiring at least a 20-30 minute walk into town on uneven, sometimes muddy roads. This made accessing the main attractions and dining options more challenging than I'd hoped.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite limited; I often received only dry toast and a small portion of fruit. I found the food offered in the hotel restaurant to be average, so I didn’t dine in much.
Facilities
7.0
The rooftop pool was a highlight of my stay, offering beautiful sunset views. The beach area had free loungers and towels, which was great, but I didn’t find the wifi reliable, especially in my room.
